SEE YOU DRECKLY

Ongoing project - started 2021

"Dreckly" is a Cornish dialect word meaning "directly," but in practice, it signifies "soon," "later," or "at some point in the future…”

An older couple leaning against a rusted metal railing on a sunlit concrete path, looking out over the turquoise waters of Swanpool Bay in Falmouth, Cornwall. A dark, moody rain cloud hangs over the green headland in the distance, by Matthew Morgan.

Exploring my relationship with Cornwall through photography, memory, and return. Started in 2021, the work reflects on the changing nature of familiarity: how places shape identity over time, and how revisiting them can feel both intimate and uncertain.

The work looks at Cornwall not as a fixed idea or romantic landscape, but as somewhere I lived, love and remember.
