PROPER PUB

Over the past year (2023-24), I’ve delved deeply into documenting the story of the Seaview Inn, its customers and the changes in management.

This body of work has allowed me to connect with the community that visit the Seaview Inn. The aim, to paint a vivid picture of what a small Cornish pub nestled along the South coast embodies and represents. Capturing the true essence of sitting at the bar, drink in hand, immersing oneself in the atmosphere of a proper pub.

Engaging in this project has truly illuminated my perspective on the place I’ve called home for the past three years and the individuals with whom I share it. Despite the passing of time, the spirit of the local Cornish community perseveres, particularly in places like the Seaview Inn, which overlooks Falmouth Bay.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to document this establishment and to feel like a valued member of the Seaview Inn community.
